Help Give Victims Positive Alternatives

Leaving an abusive relationship is not only physically, but emotionally challenging for foreign-born and immigrant victims. Many women who use our services are a part of a culture that makes it extremely difficult to sever relationships to escape abuse.   Relationship roles, children, religion, social and cultural norms, lack of knowledge about laws and social services available are just a few of the challenges these victims face.  Women and children who come to us often leave behind everything they own just to escape.  We must provide clothing, medication, diapers, toiletries, culturally-specific clothing and food, legal services, counseling, transportation, and many other necessities.

We can only continue to provide these things through the generosity of the community with both in-kind and monetary donations.  You can help increase the support for victims, survivors and service providers in the Atlanta Metro area by donating your time, items, money, and voices.  There are many ways you can support Noor Family Services and make a difference in the lives and situations of those suffering from domestic violence.

Here are some of the ways you can help.

Give Your Money »
Your generous donations make the work we do on behalf of foreign-born and immigrant victims and survivors of domestic violence possible.  To give, please click the donation link above. You may also mail your contribution:  Make checks payable to Noor Family Services, P.O. Box 3803, Alpharetta, GA  30023

Give Your Items »
Noor Family Services collects a variety of items that go far to help victims and survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault.  NFS accepts donations of unwanted cell phones, which we distribute to local survivors of domestic violence. We also provide annual gifts to our clients throughout the year for victims and their children.   Goods, like computers, software, furniture, and office equipment, for use by our organization or for special event auctions.  To make an in-kind donation, contact NFS at info@noorfamilyservices.org, or call, 770-814-4492 to make arrangements for pickup.

Give Your Time »
During various parts of the year, NFS depends on enthusiastic volunteers who are interested in eradicating violence to donate their time to help victims in the community.  We are greatly in need of your talent, skills, and passion.  Services, like meeting space, photocopy and mail services, and administrative support is also needed.  Expertise, like legal, tax, or business advice; marketing and website development; and strategic planning add value to our programs.   To volunteer your time, send an email to:  info@noorfamilyservices.org
